Sergey Khachatryan receives Credit Suisse Young Artist Award 2014



Many congratulations to Sergey Khachatryan on being named the recipient of the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award for 2014!
The Credit Suisse Young Artist Award is presented every two years and recognises the extraordinary achievements of outstanding young musical figures by providing them with the resources and performance opportunities to make a major career breakthrough.  In addition to a cash prize of CHF75,000, Sergey will also be performing at the Lucerne Festival on 13 September 2014 with the Vienna Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel.

This award has inaugurated a great start to 2014 for Sergey.  Later this week, he embarks on a 13-city recital tour with his sister Lusine Khachatryan, presenting a programme made up of the complete Brahms Sonatas for Violin and Piano.  The siblings’ recording of these works are on their latest CD on Naïve Classique.  Tour dates and reviews of the disc can both be found on Sergey’s page on this website.
