Baritone Benjamin Appl and pianist James Baillieu discuss their latest release, ‘Stunden, Tage, Ewigkeiten’ and more in this three-part ‘in conversation’ series.
The CD – which was released on 1 April 2016 and is Benjamin’s debut solo disc – focuses on settings of words by German poet Heinrich Heine, with lieder by Grieg, Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, Rubinstein, Schubert and Schumann.
In the videos, the duo answer a number of questions, including:
· How do you find working together?
· What is your favourite track on the album?
· What is your Desert Island Disc?
· How did you find recording at Champs Hill?
