About Diana
Winner of the Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition in 2018, the Ukrainian-German violinist Diana Tishchenko was an ECHO Rising Star for the 22/23 season. Diana has appeared in recital at major concert halls across Europe including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie Paris, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Vienna, Barbican London, Philharmonie Cologne and Bozar Brussels.
Recent concerto debuts include Budapest Festival Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Gürzenich Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and a tour with Kyiv Symphony including appearances at Berliner Philharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig & Konzerthaus Berlin. She works with conductors including Ivan Fischer, Francois-Xavier Roth, Joshua Weilerstein & Pierre Bleuse.
Upcoming recital engagements include Rheingau Festival & Edinburgh Festival. Diana collaborates regularly with artists including José Gallardo, Yuliana Avdeeva and Albrecht Mayer, with whom she recorded a video production of Bach for Deutsche Grammophon.
Diana’s debut album Strangers in PARadISe for Warner Classics, featuring works by Ravel, Prokofiev, Enescu & Ysaÿe, received critical acclaim. BBC Music Magazine awarded it 5* whilst The Strad praised her “big-hearted, charismatic playing… spontaneity and eloquence… and her sheer imaginative flair.
