About Magdalena

Praised for her “star quality” by Opera News, Polish-American soprano Magdalena Kuźma is currently a member of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Program and made her mainstage Met debut in the 23-24 season as Giannetta L’elisir d’amore.

A graduate of The Juilliard School and Yale University, Magdalena won the First Prizes at the Butler International Competition and Pasadena Vocal Competition in 2022 and won Second Prizes at the Metropolitan Opera Regionals, Rochester International, Washington International, and Shreveport Opera competitions.

She has also performed at Santa Fe Opera (Frasquita Carmen), The Glimmerglass Festival (Juliette Roméo et Juliette), Opera Orlando (Pamina Die Zauberflöte) and made her recital debut at Wigmore Hall in November 2023.

Upcoming projects include Yvette La Rondine at the Metropolitan Opera, her role debut as Susanna Le nozze di Figaro at Aspen Music Festival, Mahler Symphony No. 4 with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Symphony No. 2 with the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra, and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem with the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra.
